SMACKDOWN 8/30/24 REVIEW LAST SMACKDOWN BEFORE BASH IN BERLIN LA KNIGHT U.S CHAMPIONSHIP OPEN CHALLENGE - ACCEPTED BY GERMANY'S VERY OWN, LUDWIG KAISER This was a pretty good match. When this open challenge was announced last week for this Smackdown in Berlin, Germany, I was fully expecting Ilja Dragunov to be the one to accept because when Gunther won the World Heavyweight title, I thought Ilja Dragunov would be the won to challenge him for the title at Bash in Berlin, since he is half German and the matches between those two are all time classics. However, Randy Orton is facing Gunther and Ilja's not on the PLE card, but alas he wasn't at all in any of the Berlin televised shows. Kaiser put up a good fight but it was obvious Knight wouldn't lose the U.S. title this early. L.A. Knight defeats Ludwig Kaiser to retain the U.S. Championship. Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin vs Los Garza Legado del Fantasma is getting tiring. I don't think ANYTHING can save this group f...
